Hillary Rodham Clinton's not-so-secret weapon — her husband, Bill — is raising cash and enlisting support for his wife's presidential bid, focusing in part on keeping black Democrats from bolting to rivals Barack Obama and John Edwards.
      The former president has mostly remained in the shadows as his wife has stepped into the spotlight of her groundbreaking campaign, defining herself for voters who largely remember her as first lady.

The announcement spurred several grassroots draft movements, including a well-organized draft campaign started by Dean Rice, a former Thompson political aide, in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The Austin School District appreciates The Education Trust for spotlighting a serious concern of public education today, i.e. ensuring that all children are taught by highly effective teachers. These reports surface a national issue that Austin ISD has been working to address in its schools for several years: that differences exist in the experience levels, and therefore in the expenditures on salaries, of teachers working in schools serving divergent populations of students.

As a taxpayer & resident of Washington, DC, I don't know why Congress is trying to keep me & my fellow citizens from having voting representative on the Hill. It's a travesty. We pay federal taxes like everyone else, yet we don't have a voting representative in the US House or Senate. Why is that? Whatever happened to taxation without representation. Please urge your Congressmen & women to support our right to vote.
