The new George Washington Silver dollars do not contain the words, "In God We Trust", therefore I, as a committee of one, will refuse to accept them as "legal tender". If you want to serve on my committee all you have to do is refuse them and tell the person who is trying to give them to you why. I also am going to try to find out who the idiots that designed them and the idiots who pushed the U.S. mint to coin them, I'll pass it along. If you happen tp know either of these answers please let me know.

I am ashamed of our mint people who didn't have the brass to refuse to mint them.

How to save the world, or at least fix up or our corner.

The Preamble:

As a taxpayer & resident of Washington, DC, I don't know why Congress is trying to keep me & my fellow citizens from having voting representative on the Hill. It's a travesty. We pay federal taxes like everyone else, yet we don't have a voting representative in the US House or Senate. Why is that? Whatever happened to taxation without representation. Please urge your Congressmen & women to support our right to vote.

A majority (61 percent) of working Americans said in a November 2002 survey conducted for American Express that they were experiencing moderate to high levels of financial stress, and one-quarter believed their financial stress had gotten worse in the last 18-24 months.
In addition, the survey found women 50 percent more likely than men to have experienced high or extremely high levels of financial stress in the previous 18-24 months.

A 24-hour Wal-Mart Supercenter is planned for Northcross Mall at Anderson Lane and Burnet Road. Neighbors say the 225,000-square-foot store will snarl traffic and ruin the area’s character.

A grassroots group called Responsible Growth 4 Northcross (RG4N) has been battling Wal-Mart since the plans were announced in November. They've petitioned the development, Wal-Mart and even the city to find another location.
