The gimmick of picking Palin is THE reason not to vote for McCain.

As the crisis in this country and the world becomes more and more apparent and its long life a certainty, we need a team of at least two.

Obama/Biden is such a team. Can you really, honestly consider Palin as an asset on the McCain team? His pick of her may have been seen for a few days as a shrewd strategy or tactic, but it is now apparent that it was nothing more than a gimmick.

Given the myriad of important issues facing our country why is she out on the stump doing nothing to explain the solutions of a McCain administration and is simply reading smear cue cards.

Palin accuses Obama of "paling around with terrorists". Will she really say anything they write for her?

We already know that Palin has no ability to speak unless something is written down for her. Example; the Courik interview...she was basically incoherent. Later, during the debate, when she had the chance to read the cue cards, she did well.

They now armed her with the Ayers line. She is only too happy to oblidge. After all she has to simply repeat was they tell her to say.

The 700 billion bailout is the new WMD.

Oh, please. We all fell for this gag before.

We invaded Irag because of the promise to eradicate WMD. We found none, but we stayed. Billions later, no end in sight. No apology, thousands dead,(our childeren) nothing accomplished.

Now we have the evil toxic assets booked by our banks. The only solution, an expensive bailout. Same administration. Same hurry. Same ignorance of the facts. Same hurry.

We will soon find out that the toxic assets are really not there. Spend billions. No progress. Sorry we hurried.

How popular socialism has become!!

Free markets and free trade are suddenly for loosers. All of a sudden, the spokesmen for free markets and free trade are all for government bailouts.

Is it not fascinating that the evil government, the crutch for the poor and the downfall of the free economy worth sending our sons to die for in some foreign land is suddenly the only solution for an economic meltdown.

Republican economic theories are suddenly not working. Democratic socialistic ideas are.

This just makes me SICK. It is one thing to make attack ads that twist the truth and take comments out of context, but it is an entirely despicable and new trash tactic to now make attack ads based solely on what you think the other party will eventually have to do in the future, regardless of what that party has said it would do. Keep with me here.

Palin keeps repeating the refrain, that she has not and will not take earmarks and will say no to the offer to waste taxpayers' money on her state or any other.

Together with her new, old, friend, McCain, she will save millions if not billions of dollars by stopping the politics of old and ushering a new era into Washington.

OK. Stop reading the tele prompters. You took millions in earmarks. You hired high powered lobbysts to get earmarks. You spent the earmarks.

Will McCain and Palin do the Right Thing, Right Now?

Now that McCain has secured Sarah Palin as his running mate and both are running as ethics champions and reformers, will they start by denouncing and correcting all the vicious lies and character assassinations that have been spread about Obama? If McCain and Palin truly are ethical people, as they claim, then McCain and Palin should demand that the truth be told, and they themselves should be the ones to do it.

During the primary season, I wrote to the various campaigns and invited them to visit this site, contribute to it, respond to our members' comments and endorse its goals.

This site, after all, gives citizens the opportunity to tell candidates what is on their minds. The candidates seem to echo this need. Do they in fact remotely mean it?

When Elliott Spitzer resigned he admitted that sex with an overpaid prostitute violated his sense for right or wrong.

When John Edwards admitted to having sex with a woman he met in a bar, while his wife was terminally ill, he said that he was disloyal to his core beliefs.

Two questions emerge.

1. What the hell are John's core beliefs and what does Elliott think is the difference between right and wrong.
