I would like to know where I can go to find unbiased, truthful information about State and local candidates that are running for office. I simply do not trust or believe the ads you see on TV. Everyone is pointing the finger and making accusations instead of sticking to issues and facts. Facts that can be verified are the only facts I want to hear. I am sure there is probably a site somewhere for each state, I just haven't been able to find it yet. So if anyone can help, it would be appreciat

It was reported today on Good Morning America and other news sources that when Palin was elected Mayor of Wasila one of her first endeavors of interest was to investigate how the city librarian might react if someone asked that a book be removed from the library shelves. Thankfully, the librarian was a true professional, who answered that no book would be removed from the shelves of the library because all had been purchased according to the guidelines set forth by the esteemed American Library Association (ALA). The average salary in America is $58 thousand and someodd dollars a year. In Texas, a teacher can serve in this noble profession for over 20 years and not even make the average American salary. Pitiful situation. When one wonders what's wrong with education, perhaps the salaries of the profession should be examined. Why would anyone work so hard for so many years never to even make close to the average salary in our country? Very sad!

It’s pretty clear that the American people want to boot Bush & Co. out of the Whitehouse. Barack Obama’s message of change absolutely resonated in Iowa, stunning the country with an astounding win. Even on the Republican side, the insurgent who criticized the President’s “bunker mentality” beat the corporate Bush-apologist in Iowa. Change has been the recurring theme of this campaign so far.
