In an acknowledgment that the foreclosure crisis is far from over, the Obama administration on Wednesday pumped $3 billion into programs intended to stop the unemployed from losing their homes.good idea but for how long can we do this?why cant we just lift the requirement to purchase homes 50 and below and use the money instead to do what fha does guarantee the loans from the banks,it will jumpstart the economy,sometimes simple fixes is all you need for complicated problems.

Why can't we figure out how to survive in a static or shrinking economy?

We seem to require growth in order to survive,after this economic slide

we have little choice but to do so!

Removing the requirement of a credit score to only having a permanent job for any home 40k and below is the best way to fix the economy.Payments will be no more than 300 a month and most renters will get a home,who are now paying 800 plus,this gives them 500 dollars in spending money which will go right back in the economy.Builders will get right back into the act with prefab homes and we all will be working again.Every sector of the economy will pick up and home prices will start moving upwards again as soon as or before the 200k or so homes that are available runs out,this plan if used will

The oil disaster in the gulf is the problem of the several gulf states affected and BP petrolium, not the federal government's.

This is another example of our federal government trying to accomplish too much with limited resources.

What's next, the flooding in Tennessee? Their water is clean and will receed. They dont need help, they need time and a little sunshine.

How strange and what a turn of events!

McCain, during the 2008 presidential race, out of pure desperation, and clearly regretting the decision later, picked Palin to energize his campaign.

There may be some who disagree, but most think and rightly so, that she did not help, and maybe even lost the race for him.

Now, as he battles to keep his senate seat, who does he turn to for help? Leather jacket wearing, Palin. Is that desperate or what??

The outcome of that race is now certain.  

It is obvious that the Tea Party is mostly comprised of radical, biggoted, fanatical, absurd, far far right religiously misguided and uneducated white conservatives that suck on the government's tit in real life, while professing to be anti government, i.e. the black dude in their White House.

Now, who in their right mind would embrace these types? Who, in their right mind would allign themselves with their ideas?

Well, the GOP of course. The last few elections have made that clear.

Have you noticed how recent elections dont really mean anything?

Take Texas, for example, please.

Perry, the career politician is facing Hutchinson, the career politician. What do we get? Career politicians without new ideas. We lose.

For lieutenant governor we have a choice between a delli king and a former district attorney who hates to be alone in his retirement. What do these guys want? What do we get? Nothing. Whoever we choose, we are the loosers.

The new rage? Be enraged about the healthcare bill, the bailouts and any form of economic stimulus.

Why? Because there is no crisis.

Lets look at some recent history. After 9/11 no one complained about spending idiotic sums of money on national security and two wars.

At the outset of an economic crisis, both parties agreed that a massive bailout and stimulus package was needed.

During the presidential campaign, few were opposed to healthcare reform.

If there is one phrase I'm sick of hearing the Liberal Left use it's "Moving forward".  The current administration and most of Congress repeat these words over and over.  It's no real surprise, however, given their number of mistakes and incompetent deeds that they want us to keep going forward and not look back.

It was just recently reported that when Obama worked in an ice cream parlor, in Hawaii, as a teenager, he gave his friends free ice cream.

No big deal, you say. All teenagers do that. You have probably done that.

That in and of itself is the problem. Our Values have eroded and nothing but a return to the strictest moral conservative values will return us to where we need to be as a country and the leader in the world.

Its starts with a few scoops of ice cream and ends up with the giving away of billions of dollars without an end in sight.
