Washington DC Right to Vote

As a taxpayer & resident of Washington, DC, I don't know why Congress is trying to keep me & my fellow citizens from having voting representative on the Hill. It's a travesty. We pay federal taxes like everyone else, yet we don't have a voting representative in the US House or Senate. Why is that? Whatever happened to taxation without representation. Please urge your Congressmen & women to support our right to vote.

I agree that it is unfair, however, I'm interested to know how you would want to handle other commonwealth areas such as Puerto Rico. The problem is that once you open the flood gates of voting rights for DC, there are going to be demands from other territories as well. But maybe that's what needs to happen...
