Bailout Scam

I see that Bush's latest scam is to bailout the Wall Street investment banks and investors who conspired to create the sub-prime mortgage financial crisis in the first place.  Instead of rewarding the swindlers, how about bailing out the individual property owners who are in default or at risk of defaulting on their morgage.  This will diffuse the crisis at it's root cause, while helping out the innocent victims of this latest economic scam.  Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac own most of the mortgages in the U.S.  that are at risk , and the taxpayers own Fannie and Freddie now.  Go through  these institutions and bypass the Wall Street crooks.  Do it right for once and set a new precedent.
