Lets see if I've got it right department

Lets see if I've got this right department; is now in session.

First on the agenda; Andrew Clements leter to the editor bashing Ben Wea's stand on Cap Metro. My comment is, " Thank goodness for guys like Ben having a bully pulpit to help look out for those who don't." Cap Metro acts like they know everything about everything when in reality all they seem to want is more money, and have no idea how much money they really need and for what.

Aspiring writers and English teachers please feel free to criticise my last sentence structure.

Next on the agenda is likely the most wishy washy bit of prose I have read in a coon's age. Now I am not personally acquainted with Sarah Eckhardt, but as a retired professional writer and editor my comment on her Op Ed piece in todays Statesman 10/08/07 estolling her stance on why she is voting for toll roads personifies my favorite as a real winner in the fence straddling competition. She almost matches the late LBJ in that department.

As the sun sinks slowly in the West, my final comment has to do with the number of Austin/Travis county folks who have the idea that they live in the center of the entire civilized world. "You ain't foolin' us urban sprawlers!"
